I’ll begin with a confession: I have no recollection of the first fiction book I read or the day on which I read it. However, I do recall having a collection of fairy tales in college.
I remained an active reader throughout college and management school, when my voracious reading almost certainly influenced what I learned in class.
Prior to pursuing my passion for writing, I worked in human resources in the nation’s capital. I worked in corporate for almost two decades, serving in a variety of roles including business partner, brand ambassador, and change agent through facilitation of human resource initiatives. As a human resources advisor, my expertise spans the board-
- Talent Partner – Establishing systems and practices, checks and governance, responsibilities and job roles, and their placement within the organization’s growing structure.
- Employment Journey Professional – Establishing organizational learning and development, remuneration systems, reward and recognition approaches, dissatisfaction, and exit management – I am an advisor for a variety of human resource activities.
- Facilitator of Self Actualization – For those of us who are sick of labels, pay increases, and on-site postings, I am also an executive counsellor. I do not provide career counselling or anything like, but due to my relationships and experiences, I have lived a variety of occupations simply by observing others.
Flexible performance techniques, an elevated culture, leadership development, mentoring, and team effectiveness – these are the things that motivate me!
Nonetheless, a fairytale would always be within my grasp. I carve time out of my regular routine to perfect my art and write stories.
